How Sublative “Lasers” Work
Sublative rejuvenation is different from typical laser procedures because it uses radio-frequency (electrical energy), as opposed to laser (light energy) to achieve its effect.
It also differs by targeting the dermis (deeper layer of the skin), leaving the epidermis (top layer of skin) relatively intact compared to traditional laser treatments.
This serves two purposes.
First, targeting deeper layers of skin and leaving the top layer intact minimizes downtime by reducing swelling and inflammation.
Second, and most importantly, by targeting the dermis sublative treatments tighten the skin by boosting collagen and elastin production.
Sublative rejuvenation also works by causing connective tissues in the body to contract and lift. This contraction under the skin, near the muscles, further amplifies the skin tightening effect.
Can I Benefit?
Sublative rejuvenation is most commonly used to address wrinkles, rough skin texture, and mild pigmentation issues.
