Injecting Filler to Sculpt Natural Beauty
Young, healthy skin contains an abundance of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA) that decreases as you age, causing your skin to lose its structure and volume.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers lift the skin away from the bone to restore youthful volume and shape, as well as smooth away wrinkles.
Specifically, dermal fillers reverse the appearance of aging by . . .
- Hydrating your skin, which will plump, smooth, and nourish your face
- Stimulating new collagen production to restore firmness to your face and skin
- Adding volume to your face, lifting it and reversing sagging
- Tightening your skin, giving you younger looking skin
- Smoothing away fine lines and wrinkles
- Generally restoring a more youthful appearance
HA fillers, however, do little to improve skin tone and texture – this is where PRP steps in.
Harnessing Your Body's Healing Ability – PRP
PRP is Platelet-Rich Plasma.
Platelets are tiny blood cells that play a crucial part in helping your body repair damaged blood vessels and cells.
For example, let’s say you’ve scraped your arm enough to draw some blood to the skin. When platelets in your blood come in contact with the damaged tissue they release growth factors (proteins that stimulate growth).
These growth factors activate multipotent stem cells in your skin that transform into new collagen, new blood vessels, and new fatty tissue that work together to generate new skin and repair your scrape!
It works the same way in cosmetics, except there's no injury to begin with.
By injecting PRP into undamaged skin, we trick your skin into “thinking” there’s been an injury.
New blood vessels form and blood flow to your skin increases resulting in healthier, glowing skin. New collagen and fatty tissue are produced that restore volume and smooth texture to your skin.
Your body is working to “repair” skin that was never injured in the first place, resulting in new, younger-appearing skin.
Why the Vampire Facelift® is Unique
1. It Addresses All 4 Components of Beauty in One Procedure
HA fillers alone do little to improve skin tone and texture. PRP alone does little to improve volume and shape.
By combining Fillers and PRP the Vampire Facelift® is able to improve all 4 components of beauty: shape, color, texture, and size (or volume).
The filler acts as a platform for the PRP, holding it in place as it works with your body to create new tissue.
2. It Requires Specialized Training
Results from cosmetic injectables vary widely. We’ve all seen Botox disasters, but we’ve also all seen beautiful botox results, so beautiful, in fact, that you may not have even noticed.
Botox is botox, so what causes the variation? The injector.
The Vampire Facelift® is a very specific way of using injectables combined with PRP that requires hours of specialized training on the method before an injector is allowed to perform it.
This standardizes the technique and ensures that it’s only performed by skilled, trained injectors, producing consistent, beautiful results.

What to Expect During Your Visit
The first thing we’ll do is take your photograph; so later you can look back and see how fabulous you are now!
Then we’ll go to your room and apply numbing cream, which will sit for about 30 minutes.
While your numbing we’ll draw some of your blood (ala vampire!) and place it in the centrifuge to spin down so we can isolate the PRP, or liquid gold as we like to call it.
Now that you’re good and numb and your PRP is ready, it’s time for Dr. Gill to put his specialized skills to work.
First, he’ll use a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler in a very specific way to sculpt a more symmetrical, younger-appearing face – while maintaining a natural shape.
After the filler has been injected, it’s time for the magic.
Using a very small needle (for almost no pain), Dr. Gill will inject your PRP back into your face in a particular way.
The PRP starts working its magic immediately to give you smoother, brighter, more youthful-looking skin.
The whole appointment lasts about an hour, with the procedure taking just 30 minutes. Benefits are noticeable immediately, reaching their full effect in 2 to 3 months. Results last for at least 1 to 2 years!
